천국의 모든 것과 사람의 모든 것 간에는 어떤 상응이 존재한다

There Is a Correspondence of All Things of Heaven with All Things of Man

그러나 상응은 사람에게만 국한되지 않고, 훨씬 광범위하게 확장된다. 천국들 사이에 상응이 있기 때문이다. 가장 내적인 삼층천에 중간인 이층천이 상응하고, 그 이층천에 가장 외적인 일층천이 상응하며, 이는 사람의 사지, 기관, 내장 등 몸의 형태에 상응한다. 따라서 천국이 최종적으로 끝맺는 곳, 즉 천국이 확립되는 바탕이 사람의 몸인 것이다. 이 신비에 대해서는 따로 자세히 다룰 것이다. But correspondence applies far more widely than to man; for there is a correspondence of the heavens with one another. To the third or inmost heaven the second or middle heaven corresponds, and to the second or middle heaven the first or outmost heaven corresponds, and this corresponds to the bodily forms in man called his members, organs, and viscera. Thus it is the bodily part of man in which heaven finally terminates, and upon which it stands as upon its base. But this arcanum will be more fully unfolded elsewhere.
