HH.55, '7장, 각 천사는 가장 작은 천국이다'(HH.51-58)

※ 모든 사람은 자기 안에 있는 천국의 특성에 맞게 밖에 있는 천국을 받아들이고, 마찬가지로 주님을 받아들인다. 천국은 주의 신성으로 이루어졌기 때문이다. 따라서 주께서 천국 공동체에 임하실 때는 그 사회의 선의 특성에 맞게 공동체마다 다르게 나타나신다.

각 공동체는 보다 작은 형태의 천국이고, 

각 천사는 가장 작은 형태의 천국이다

Each Society Is a Heaven in a Smaller Form,

and Each Angel in the Smallest Form

모든 사람은 자기 안에 있는 천국의 특성에 맞게 밖에 있는 천국을 받아들이고, 마찬가지로 주님을 받아들인다. 천국은 주의 신성으로 이루어졌기 때문이다. 따라서 주께서 천국 공동체에 임하실 때는 그 사회의 선의 특성에 맞게 공동체마다 다르게 나타나신다. 이 다양성은 주께 있는 것이 아니라 자기의 선을 통해 그에 맞게 주를 보는 천사들에게 있는 것이다. 심지어 그들이 주의 임하심에 감동하는 것도 그들의 사랑의 성질에 따라 다르다. 주를 가장 내적으로 사랑하는 천사들은 가장 깊이 감동하고, 주를 덜 사랑하는 이들은 덜 감동하며, 천국 바깥에 있는 악한 영들은 주께서 나타나시면 고통을 느낀다. 주께서 어느 천사 사회에든지 나타나실 때는 한 명의 천사로 보이시는데, 그러나 그 신성의 광휘로 다른 천사들과 확연히 구분되신다. As everyone receives the heaven that is outside of him in accordance with the quality of the heaven that is within him, so in like manner does everyone receive the Lord, since it is the Divine of the Lord that makes heaven. And for this reason when the Lord becomes manifestly present in any society his appearance there is in accord with the quality of the good in which the society is, thus not the same in one society as in another. This diversity is not in the Lord; it is in the angels who behold him from their own good, and thus in accordance with their good. And they are affected by his appearance in accordance with the quality of their love, those who love him inmostly being inmostly affected, and those who love him less being less affected; while the evil who are outside of heaven are tortured by his presence. When the Lord is seen in any society he is seen as an angel, but is distinguished from others by the Divine that shines through.
