22절, 씰라는 두발가인을 낳았으니 그는 구리와 쇠로 여러 가지 기구를 만드는 자요 두발가인의 누이는 나아마였더라 And Zillah, she also bare Tubal-Cain, an instructor of every artificer in brass and iron; and the sister of Tubal-Cain was Naamah.

‘씰라’는 앞서 말씀드린 대로, 새 교회의 자연적인 것들의 어머니를, ‘두발가인, 구리와 쇠로 여러 가지 기구를 만드는 자’는 자연적 선과 진리의 교리를 의미하는데, 여기서 ‘구리’(brass, 銅)는 자연적 선을, ‘쇠’(iron, 鐵)는 자연적 진리를 의미합니다. ‘나아마, 두발가인의 누이’는 어떤 비슷한 교회, 곧 그 교회 밖에 있는 자연적 선과 진리의 교리를 의미합니다. By “Zillah” is signified, as previously stated, the mother of the natural things of the new church; by “Tubal-Cain, an instructor of every artificer in brass and iron,” the doctrine of natural good and truth, “brass” denoting natural good, and “iron” natural truth. By “Naamah, the sister of Tubal-Cain” is signified a similar church, or the doctrine of natural good and truth outside of that church.
