12절, 네가 밭을 갈아도 땅이 다시는 그 효력을 네게 주지 아니할 것이요 너는 땅에서 피하며 유리하는 자가 되리라 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee its strength; a fugitive and a wanderer shalt thou be in the earth.

‘밭을 갈다’의 의미가 이런 스키즘이나 이단 경작임은 방금전까지 말한 ‘땅’(ground)의 상징을 보면 거기 나옵니다. ‘효력을 주지 않다’가 그런 노력은 소용없음을 의미함이 분명한 것은 땅에 관한 내용들을 보아도 그렇고, 워딩 그 자체를 보아도, 뿐만 아니라 지금 보고 있는, 즉 체어리티 없는 신앙을 고백하는 사람들은 위에서 말한 대로 사실은 전혀 신앙 고백을 하는 게 아니라는 이걸 보아도 분명합니다. That to “till the ground” means to cultivate this schism or heresy appears from the signification of “ground,” of which we have just now spoken; and that its “not yielding its strength” denotes its barrenness, is evident both from what was said concerning ground, and from the words themselves, as well as from this consideration, that those who profess faith without charity, profess no faith, as was said above.
